• Visa eligibility and documentation. If you qualify, we’ll help you prepare everything and match you to real job openings

We only present candidates who meet Canadian standards and are committed to long-term employment via employer-linked immigration.

Important note: At this time, WorkUgo is not accepting apprentice-level or entry-level applicants.

We require candidates to have approximately 8–10,000 hours of hands-on trade experience and at least 8 years of professional work history in their field. Unfortunately, freelance work doesn’t count as it’s not recognized by Canadian authorities.

If you're selected and receive a job offer, we will cover the full cost of handling your work permit application and credential recognition.

However, you will need to pay for third-party government fees, like:

• Language testing (e.g., IELTS, CELPIP)
• Biometrics
• Medical exams (if required)

We’ll guide you through every step and tell you exactly what’s needed — no surprises, no hidden fees.

Most candidates arrive in Canada 4 to 6 months after accepting a job offer if it’s not an LMIA-based work permit. In case of LMIA-based, the terms normally exceed 6 months and are in a range of 6-8 months. We use work permit programs that are fast and employer-friendly.

In some cases, it could take longer depending on the country, and you need more paperwork, or if immigration offices are delayed. We’ll keep you updated at every step on our platform

To improve your chances of long-term success, we strongly recommend having a Red Seal or Provincial certification that allows you to work independently as a journeyperson.
